Sometimes parents do crazy things so that the family can have a dream. I did – this is my barn. The deadline was my daughter’s wedding. My goal was to create a barn for creativity and community. The downstairs is quite cozy and the upstairs is vast. The original building design was left for all to see. It is quite impressive how well thought out this barn was originally designed. My job was to reuse, restore, and open up the space. I added lots of windows and restored the use of the barn doors. The upstairs floor was re-enforced so that it can be used as a dance floor. It makes my heart sing and was well worth all the effort and expense.
